Today’s workout left me feeling zapped. Does that ever happen to you?
I started off feeling good, only to be quickly let down by spats of dizziness, weakness, and exhaustion. Boo. It happens. But I managed to get through it.
And…because I did get through it (and was left feeling very withered), I figured I better refuel quickly with some serious substance. I headed to the kitchen and whipped up a delicious, get-your-zip-back protein shake.
First of all…this was icy-cold and refreshing.
Second of all…it was reviving, phew!
Third of all…it tasted just like a no bake cookie!
It’s a win, win…win kind of shake!
No Bake Cookie Protein Shake
*Makes 1 smoothie
8oz unsweetened almond milk
1 cup ice
1 heaping scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4 cup rolled oats (or oatmeal)
1 TBS peanut butter
1 TBS dark cocoa powder
1 teaspoon honey
Blend it all together until smooth.
This was a very uplifting way to end a really bummer of a workout. Actually…this would be a pretty awesome way to end any workout!
