With the “OK” from my doctor and a few hours of consecutive sleep each night, it’s time…time to finally resume a regular workout routine.
This past Thursday, I thought I’d give it a go with a nice ‘run’ around my neighborhood. I had been anticipating it for weeks!
Ha. It was more like a jog…no, actually it was more like a series of walking and jogging, real slowly. It was pretty defeating considering I stayed fairly active for the last nine months. Let’s be honest, this whole working out post-pregnancy thing is a lot more challenging than I ever expected.
It’s really hard to get motivated when a little cupcake wants to snuggle all day (she’s pretty darn convincing!) and let’s face it, I’m tired! Tired and weak.
As I was running (gasping for each breath), I decided a top fitness priority is to regain my strength. For whatever reason, the muscles I worked so hard to keep, did in fact somehow disappear in the past months-especially in my legs.
With that being said it’s time to get started…with a whole lotta squats!
So please join me on my journey returning to fitness! I’ll be posting new workouts each Wednesday which will be archived here and I will be keeping a daily fitness log that you can find here, you know…so you can keep tabs on what’s going on in my world of fitness.
Please remember-these workouts are designed for my current fitness level. I am not a trainer-if you decide to use my workouts, you should always change/modify them to fit your current fitness levels!
