It has been nine months since my last post, you guys. NINE months. Eeek!
Here’s a little recap on what has been going on…
-In June we learned that our family would be growing in February. Julianna couldn’t wait to be a big sister!
-In July we took a family trip to Florida, knowing very well that morning sickness was surely lurking around the corner.
–It was. I spent much of the summer hanging out on my couch…and the hospital. Hyperemesis Gravidarum is no joke. Apparently less than 3% of women experience it. I am apparently in that 3%, myself and Princess Kate.
-In the fall, my sickness started to let up a little and we decided to enjoy a beautiful, fall day by taking a nice walk in our woods. Our dogs happened upon a raccoon. Naturally, it had rabies. And as a result, our entire family experienced the thrill of rabies vaccinations. Who does this happen to?! That was a lot of shots. No exaggeration. Julianna was a trooper, though. And now expects an average of 10 stickers and 3 lollipops at each doctor visit.
-Christmas was oodles of fun and a welcomed change of pace from all of the craziness above. Julianna loved Christmas this year! And Santa. He pretty much rocked her world. Cookies rocked my world. Lots and lots of cookies. My 7-month-pregnant-self took advantage of every plate.
-It has been a snowy winter and we’ve loved it! We’ve also learned that Julianna is a true northerner who loves the cold. Tank however, has a different view. After slipping on some ice and completely tearing every ligament in his knee, we learned that even dogs can have a knee replaced. Poor Tank. Thankfully he’s on the mend and is almost ready for his next adventure in the woods (or not)!
-Finally, February arrived. And so did Clara.
And life’s been pretty sweet ever since.
